Featured Project - Chaffey College Electronic Marquee

The idea was to incorporate a fully programmable double face, Full Color Message Center into a one of a kind monument built to coincide with the architecture and materials being used to remodel the campus and administration buildings. The project features a 4.5’ x 16.5’ double faced message center built into an ultra modern 17’ x 23’ brushed aluminum cabinet and columns. The school’s name “CHAFFEY COLLEGE” was routed out of the aluminum cabinet and ¾” painted acrylic translucent letters were “pushed through” the routed aluminum. A series of fluorescent lamps housed within the cabinet gently illuminate the red painted letters at night. The display structure was mounted on two poles and set in footings that met and exceeded all city and DSA structural standards. The poles were covered with brushed aluminum panels in keeping with the architectural style of the newly remodeled campus.

Quiel Bros. and the Chaffey staff are pleased that the finished project not only serves as an attractive landmark at the school’s entrance, but also provides a state-of-the-art communication tool that keeps the students, neighbors, and visitors to the community posted on important activities and breaking news.
